Hurricane Milton swept across the state late yesterday and has now moved out into the Atlantic Ocean. Assessments of the affected areas are underway, with power outages reported in most locations and crews working to clear debris from the roads.
The Sanibel Harbour condo towers weathered the hurricane exceptionally well. However, the power remains out, though cleanup efforts have already begun and will intensify once electricity is restored. The grounds sustained the most damage, with the swimming pool and hot tubs requiring clearing of sand, beach renourishment, and plant replacement or maintenance. This work is expected to take place over the next few weeks.
Power has been restored to the resort and condo towers, and cleaning efforts on the property are now ramping up. We expect to welcome guests back soon.
